PLE Mapping, Draft 1 (2008)

Blogged up: jaredstein.org/2008/03/06/ple-mapping-draft-1/
First attempt at drafting my personal learning environment. You’ll note that I did not limit myself to technologies, let alone Web-based tools as some have been inclined to do. I’ve used all tools, utilities, and resources that make up my actual environment for teaching, learning and professional/creative production (do I need to separate creation from learning? I don’t think I can)
Day 139/365- Zzzzz

So. tired.
I went on a nice run in the rain today and studied…a lot. I thought this cafe looked as sleepy as I am, hence the photo.
You know how I asked for ideas the other day? Well, I liked the ones people posted and told me, so I’m gonna implement them somehow. I was thinking of something like this:
Happy Bench Mondays (HBMs are popular on flickr)- find awesome benches/sitting places and go creative
Haiku Tuesdays- write a haiku to go along with the picture
What/Where is it Wednesdays- abstract picture or some location around campus. If you know what/where it is, you get a prize ![]()
Ted Talk Thursdays- Instead of a song, I add a great TED talk to my descriptions. I have plenty of favorites.
Fence Friday- Lots of cool fences, and being so specific will make me try new things
Sat/Sun-whatever the hell I want.
Of course I’d vary it up every now and then too. They’re just there to give me something when I’m out of ideas. Oh, and definitely a ROYGBIV week too.
